This chart is titled APS IR Flow Chart. It starts with file a report online, over statewide phone line or in-person at APS office https://ddrsprovider.fssa.in.gov/APSOnlineReporting. The next step is the unit will investigate if individual is an endangered adult, which means an A) individual who is at least 18 years of age; B) incapable by reason of mental illness, intellectual disabilities, dementia, habitual drunkenness, excessive drug use, or other physical or mental capacity of managing or directing the management of the individual's property or providing self-care; C) harmed or threatened with harm as a result of 1. Neglect; 2. Battery; 3) exploitation of the individual's personal services or property. If the individual meets that criteria, the next step is APS will monitor the protective services in place.
